Technical & Quality

The Technical and Quality department comprises a team of experienced technical and quality assurance professionals who are responsible for overseeing the manufacturing and packaging aspects of the supply chain for Amdipharm’s product portfolio.

Preceding the introduction of a new product, the Technical and Quality department have a key role to play in their supply. Before a new product is introduced, we screen its suitability from a manufacturing and quality perspective. Any issues identified at this stage need to be deemed to be resolvable before they become issues within our supply chain, or the product will not be a viable candidate for the portfolio.

Once a product enters the Amdipharm portfolio, it will be supplied under the Amdipharm branded product livery. These products are manufactured on Amdipharm's behalf by contract manufacturing organisations. The Technical and Quality group will pair new products with existing or new contract manufacturing organisations world-wide through the management of the technology transfer exercise. These activities can also involve the introduction of new sources of active pharmaceutical ingredients and sometimes new pack formats. Where required, we will also manage the transfer of associated analytical methodologies and put in place programmes to monitor the stability of the product.
